This super fun mountain bike / hiking trail is a classic 4 km singletrack adventure. You can drop a vehicle in Crawford Bay and take another up Peters Rd and the Pilot Point FSR 3.5 km to the trail hub. Park here and enjoy a short grind to an amazing southern viewpoint of Kootenay Lake and the West Arm. Hikers often do this hike and then return to the trail hub. From the viewpoint, you can continue north through old-growth forests, rock outcroppings and various viewpoints until you reach the radio tower rd. Follow the signs north above McGregor Lake, where the trail continues onto the North Spur Rd. Here the William Fraser trail begins and will take you another 3 km to the top of the Woodlot trail and the half km optional HWY 3A access below the YRB Highways yard.

We acknowledge that the recreation trails which we enjoy are the traditional territory of the Ktunaxa First Nation. We honour their connection to the land, lakes and rivers and respect the importance of caring for our shared environment.
